Customers Educated by TV’s Evil Diet Witch

Sun Sprout helped increase the health and well being of 90 of their customers on the 29th of November by treating them to an entertaining evening with TV’s Evil Diet Witch, celebrity dietician Nikki Hart.

A well-known champion of positive nutrition, the notorious dietician featured on the TV shows Test the Nation, Eat Yourself Whole and The Fat Chance was enlisted by Sun Sprout to help educate their customers about the benefits of healthy eating and sprouts. Nikki, who is well known for her easy to understand 'no-nonsense' approach to health and nutrition, presented a light-hearted and practical look at healthy eating habits and the impact that fruit and vegetables have on long-term health and wellness.

Sprouts got the thumbs up from Nikki due to their high nutritional and anti-oxidant content, and particular mention was made of broccoli sprouts and their well-researched anti-cancer properties.

Along with learning practical tips about how to improve their daily diet, the customers attending the evening also saw for themselves how versatile and tasty sprouts could be. They were served a sumptuous feast of gourmet sprout and salad finger foods, which they were able to guiltlessly enjoy under the watchful eye of Nikki Hart.

Leisha Kilpatrick won the evening’s door prize of a luxury weekend for two at the celebrated Heritage Hotel and Spa du Vin, just south of Auckland in the Mangatawhiri Valley. Leisha and her husband Jayden, the produce manager of Botany Town New World, are looking forward to enjoying their prize in the New Year.
 
According to Sun Sprout Managing Director, Stephen Dench, the evening held with Nikki Hart at the Ellerslie Convention Centre in Auckland was the first of what is hoped to be a series of similar events around the country to help educate Sun Sprout customers about healthy eating and sprouts. He says, “Our whole objective at Sun Sprout is to help improve the health and vitality of our customers in a way that is both enjoyable and convenient, and this is just one of the ways we are doing that.”
