Sun Sprout Head Appointed To Key International Industry Role

Sun Sprout Ltd Managing Director Stephen Dench is now playing a key role in improving sprout consumption and safety worldwide thanks to his recent appointment as Vice President of the International Sprout Growers Association (ISGA).

Auckland-based Stephen was unanimously elected as Vice President of the global ISGA, at their annual convention in Paris last month.

The ISGA is a professional association of sprout growers and companies that supply products and services to the sprout industry worldwide, and has members throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia.

In his new role Stephen will be part of the technical review board working with ISGA members and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to help develop universal sprout industry health and safety guidelines that will help grow sprout consumption globally and ensure the ongoing safety of consumers.

Stephen says, “This is a great opportunity to keep Sun Sprout at the forefront of international sprout growing, and to make a vital contribution to this industry.
