Sun Sprout, October 1st, 2008Any One for Carrots …Saturday 13th September was a fun day at Massey Park in Papakura where the Fresh Future Duathlon and Gala was held for the children of the District.
The Duatholon was run in age groups, with some very determined young people both female and male. All participants put in their best efforts, and on the day each of them were winners.
The team from Sun Sprout were there handing out Snack Packs of Farmer Bills Baby Peeled Carrots and fun stickers to the children enjoying the event.
The Fresh Future Appeal 2008 is an initiative to raise funds for Children’s Hospitals throughout New Zealand. Last year, in New Zealand, over $1 million was raised and distributed.
It’s not often you look up into a grandstand at a sports event and see everyone munching on Baby Peeled Carrots.
