Sun Sprout News, September 27th, 2007Sun Sprout Accelerates Hot Lap DrawsSun Sprout’s first hot lap draw was so successful that the company has decided to give away thrilling rides in the Sun Sprout racecar right throughout the year.
Nine lucky winners and their partners will be burning the rubber at the Pukekohe racetrack after their names came up trumps in the first hot lap draw on September 7.
Alistair Saga from Kapiti, Richard Matthews from Masterton, Craig Wildbore from Napier, Terry Nicolson from Whangarei, Umer Prasad from Orewa, Annie Hay and John Lee from Christchurch, and Shane Patel and Peter Murdie from Auckland will joining Sun Sprout’s Managing Director, Stephen Dench, in October for a day of lunch and laps.
The hot lap winners will also be treated to a guided tour of the Sun Sprout farm and factory and will get plenty of Sproutman products to sample.
Stephen, who is also the driver of the Sun Sprout race car, says the response to the free hot laps draw has been very encouraging and it’s clearly an effective and fun way to spread the healthy food message.
Recently described in the New Zealand Performance Car Magazine as, 'one of the most inspiring cars to hit a New Zealand circuit’ - the Sun Sprout Mazda 1989 Series 5 RX7 is jointly sponsored by Sun Sprout Ltd, Dashboard Diner Ltd and Farmer Bill’s Baby Peeled Carrots. The car competes in the Super GTs and NZ Endurance Series Champs, and is supported at all the events with lots of free healthy food giveaways and competitions for hot laps.
Stephen says, “The race car sponsorship aims to demonstrate that living in the fast lane doesn’t mean you have to eat bad. Being able to give someone a fun experience that they’re likely to remember for a very long time will help reinforce the healthy eating message, and hopefully help people remember it.”
Sun Sprout will now be running regular hot lap draws throughout the year. To enter the next draw, all you need to do is visit the Sun Sprout website at www.sunsprout.co.nz and fill out the entry form on the motorsport page.
