Summer is with us and the festive season is fast approaching. We would like to take the opportunity to wish everyone a safe and happy festive season and of course, every success for the coming year.

Thank You to all our valued customers for their support and patronage throughout the year, which saw us all in the produce industry travel through a very trying and difficult winter period.

We’d like to reassure you all that our Baby Peeled Carrots are specifically grown for the purpose. We have recently been made aware that some inaccurate media is circulating eluding to the fact that baby peeled carrots are not what they are said to be. We have included in this newsletter our response to the information being circulated.

Spring has been an exciting time for us all at Sun Sprout, first the merger with Fresh A-peel in the South Island, which will bring with it many benefits for our customers, and the commencement of the fit out of a new processing plant in Nelson.

Equipment upgrades are integral in a processing plant such as ours – the cycle is never complete. November 2008 saw the installation of new grading equipment on our Farmer Bills Baby Carrot processing line.
