Healthy Happenings - January 2008
Hello again from Healthy Happenings – where you can learn how to eat well and stay healthy all in a matter of minutes.
This month as we all prepare for “back to school” and healthy eating after our summer indulgences, we have decided to focus on baby carrots. The ideal quick, easy and healthy lunch box snack, or a quick fix to starve off the hunger pains during the day. Baby carrots have unlimited growth potential as a snack food, and research is showing they are one of the largest snack foods consumed in the United States.
Recent research is proving that carrots contain potent Anti-Cancer Compounds and individuals with the highest carrot consumptions can reduce their risk of cancer by up to 40%.
Read about the long awaited arrival to the Carrot Department at New Zealand Fresh Cuts, just 9 months after the decision to purchase was made. And we welcome Gill Barnes, our new Sales & Marketing Manager, to the team.
If you need to call the Sun Sprout office for anything chances are you will be greeted by the friendly voice of Carol Maera, our sales administrator and receptionist. Carol, and in fact all of our staff, will be really happy to help you with any enquiries and put you in touch with our sales reps if needed. So, if you have any enquiries, please call Carol.
